Oakview Office
Welcome to Luther Low and Oakview Elementary Schools! As we begin another school year, we look forward to the exciting challenges and growth opportunities for our students, parents, and staff members. Our goal is to make West Middlesex Elementary Schools a special place for every member of this school's community. The guiding principles we follow are:

The social curriculum is as important as the academic curriculum.
How children learn is as important as what they learn: Process and content go hand in hand.
The greatest cognitive growth occurs through social interaction.
To be successful academically and socially, children need to learn and practice specific social skills. Cooperation, assertion, responsibility, empathy, and self-control
Knowing the children we teach – individually, culturally, and developmentally is as important as knowing the content we teach.
Knowing the families of the children we teach is as important as knowing the children we teach.
How we, the adults at school, work together is as important as our individual competence: Lasting change begins with the adult community.

Students will be challenged to work hard in developing their academic and social skills. We believe there are strong correlations between effort, attitude, and success. Academic and social lessons are designed to engage students and prepare them for the challenges of high school and beyond. Open communication between staff members, parents, and students will ensure all are working collaboratively towards the common goal of students' academic and social successes. As always, it is this combined effort between students, teachers, and parents that makes Luther Low and Oakview Schools a great place to learn and grow.

Our staff is committed to serving the students and parents of this community. I want to take this opportunity to encourage you to be involved in our schools. I’d like to invite you to attend concerts, programs, volunteer, and cheer on our athletic events. We will do our best to keep you up-to-date on what’s going on in the District. These are your schools, your children and grandchildren we are educating so we want you to be informed and involved. We are looking forward to a great school year and know that working together will ensure a successful school experience for our children.
